Innovation Theatre: Building a Patient Centric Mindset Through Theatrical Contemplation

Presented in an engaging format, Mr. Fassler, author of the recently released Up in the Cheap Seats and an actor, screenwriter, and director will be interviewed by Maria Scaros-Mercado, the executive director of  Greens at Greenwich, an assisted living facility for those suffering from dementia.

Ms. Scaros-Mercado also is a respected dramatic arts therapist and chairperson for an important theatrical initiative for Alzheimer patients. Her life-long commitment to theatrical expression in the clinical setting will lend an interesting perspective in this “Inside the Actor’s Studio” question and answer format. “Embodying someone else’s experience through theater helps caretakers, clinicians and patients alike to empathically proceed with treatment and coping strategies,” she said.
